Every Friday afternoon during summer and fall, from 4-6 pm, we host free local cheese and beer pairings in our brewery tasting room.
We do this because it is fun and delicious, and we want to let everyone else in on the great flavors combinations that can be had by pairing cheeses with beer.
Also we like to show off the wonderful cheeses made here in Vermont! Not only is Vermont home to 19 craft brewers (at last count), the most breweries per capita in the country, we also are lucky enough to have at least 34 artisanal cheesemakers here, too!
This makes us the best state for cheese and beer pairings in the country!
We carry several locally made cheeses in our store beer coolers for purchase, so that you can bring these tasty combinations home or to your next party. Leading a group of friends in a cheese and beer pairing is as simple as buying a few different brews and a few different cheeses, opening, pouring and cutting samples, and seeing what tastes best together!
Below are some of our favorite combinations and some general rules of thumb for pairing cheeses and beers.
